Dating back over 400 years, Arg-e Gogad is one of the most remarkable historical monuments in Golpayegan. Once known as the Arg-e Alikhani (Alikhani Citadel), this magnificent structure holds a beautiful story of devotion. About 130 years ago, a man named Alikhan bestowed a significant portion of this citadel to his wife as her dowry—a timeless gesture of love that has forever woven romance into the history of these walls.
